On Saturday 3rd June 2006 the "Cannock Chase Strongest Man" competition was held in the sun soaked Cannock Chase Sports Stadium. Fifteen of the countries top strongman contenders took part in front of an enthusiastic and vocal crowd who filled the 800 capacity seated stands at the stadium. Competition was closely fought out as the men battled their way through six events. Events and their results are shown below.

Final Results

First place took away prize money of £500, and the winner of each individual event received £100. Trophies were given for overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and a special 'Best Newcomer' trophy was also awarded to Wayne Russell who finished in an impressive 6th position in a very strong field.
